Regular registration: Thursday night at midnight, October 24.
LATE registration: 2:00 pm, Friday, October 25 with late fee.
The NLAA 2024 XC Championships is organized by the Newfoundland and Labrador Athletics Association (NLAA).
The wearing of headphones or similar devices is not permitted while competing. Athletes will be asked to remove and store their listening devices.
Athletes wearing headphones/earbuds while competing will be disqualified from the race, and no refunds will be issued.
The NLAA has a funding policy to support elite-level athletes attending the Canadian Cross Country Championships, Saturday, November 30, 2024, London, Ontario. Interested athletes should review the Funding Policy for eligibility criteria.
Confederation Hill Disc Golf Course is located south of the College of the North Atlantic, Prince Philip Drive Campus, in St. John's. No Change rooms on-site.
Participants and spectators should park at the lower parking lot (STUDENT PARKING AREA) of The Murphy Centre.
All races will be held on the Confederation Hill Disc Golf Course trails off Gooseberry Lane. The course is hilly and suitable for spikes.
*U16 athletes wishing to be considered for funding to attend the Athletics Canada Cross-country Championships must compete in the U18 event at the Provincial Championships. Athletes who choose this option will not be eligible for medals in the U16 division.
All athletes are REQUIRED to compete in their own age group based on their year of birth (see NLAA ACXC funding policy for U16 exemptions) and may NOT move up to compete in another event (As per Athletics Canada Long Term Development Model). The YEAR that the athlete is born will determine the competition category. In the event that the athlete competes in an incorrect category, the result will not be recognized. It is the participant's responsibility to ensure that they compete in the appropriate category.
One Day Event Permit or Individual Competitive Membership is required
