School Programs

School Affiliation Fee - $30 (September through June, renewed annually)

Throughout the school year, the Newfoundland and Labrador Athletics Association (NLAA) and Member Clubs organize numerous cross-country, track and field, and road running events. To participate in these events, participants must be registered members of the NLAA OR purchase a One-Day Permit.

To promote our sport at the school level and make it more accessible to students, the NLAA conducts some of its events exclusively for schools, where school grades are used to determine the competition categories.

With the exception of TrackFest, students attending non-affiliated schools can participate in school competitions and win individual awards. However, TrackFest is open only to affiliated schools.

Day-Permit Fees Waived: During the registration process, schools and students can enter their School Code under “Member ID:” to avoid the extra $1 Day Permit Fee charge. Please note that there are NO REFUNDS/NO CREDITS if participants do not enter their school code.
Stay Connected: Schools affiliated with NLAA receive email communications and can stay informed on upcoming events.
Team Competition: Only affiliated schools can participate as a team and be eligible to win team awards.
* Schools can avail themselves of the benefits only when they affiliate with NLAA and cannot retroactively claim team points and discounts.

During the school year, athletes from affiliated schools can take part in events exclusively organized for schools and school grades are used to determine the competition categories. Schools and students are eligible for individual and team awards. Member schools must enter their SCHOOL CODE during registration to avoid the extra $1 Day Fee per student.

Individual - $1
One Day Registration in NLAA for Primary and Secondary School Athletes during the school year is $1.00. (Applicable to non-school members only.)

Important: Competing at NLAA regular sanctioned events would require individual athletes to upgrade to a full NLAA membership or pay One Day Permit Fee of $5.00

Please note the affiliation fee and the program/event registration fee must be separate payments.
