Each school must have a Teacher Sponsor or a school leader for students to participate in TrackFest.
Any teacher, school coach, or community recreation leader can deliver the basic Run-Jump-Throw-Wheel school-based program by using Track & Field inspired games, activities, and skill challenges to teach the fundamentals of running, jumping, throwing and wheeling (for children in wheelchairs).
While you do not need to send in any information regarding performances or attendance in the school-based program, we encourage teachers or coaches to incorporate these fundamentals of a run, jump, throw, and wheel into physical education programs or after-school activities and to ensure all interested students would be eligible and prepared to attend the Provincial Trackfest Program.
