SPECTATORS
Viewing Area
Finish Area and Family Reunion. Family reunion is the place for race participants to meet their friends and family after the race. The family reunion area is on the Softball Field in Bannerman Park. Family and friends are also invited to view the finish of the race from Government House grounds which have been made available to us with the gracious permission of The Honourable Joan Marie J. Aylward, O.N.L., Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador. The bottom of Bannerman Road will be closed to spectators again this year as the finish area is being expanded to accommodate the larger numbers completing the Tely 10.
Park & Ride
Free Park and Ride for friends and spectators: Park and Ride shuttle service will be available on Tely 10 day from 8:00 am to Noon. The shuttle bus will run from Confederation Building to Empire Avenue at Fraser’s Lane (access to Circular Road via Fraser’s Lane). The purpose of the service is to bring spectators to the race and to bring spectators and runners back from the finish to Confederation Building.
Parking
For family members, friends and other race supporters coming to view the finish of the race, parking is available in the Confederation Building Parking Lot, and in the Dominion Store parking lot (Old Memorial Stadium) next to Quidi Vidi Lake. Please do not park in spaces allotted for Dominion Store customers unless you are grocery shopping.
Cheering Zones
Tely 10 participants need a healthy amount of cheering to help them along the way. So get your friends to come out with signs, flags, noise-makers, megaphones, costumes and cameras to cheer and applaud for you and others. Special cheering zones will be located at the following locations: Subway parking lot by Mile 1 checkpoint in the Town of Paradise; New World Fitness, Topsail Road; The Village Shopping Mall; the top of Road de Lux just before the “hill” on Cornwall Ave.; the 9 mile mark just east of St. Clare’s Hospital on LeMarchant Road.
